The Dome Expedition Tours (DETOUR) was established in 1996 to cater adventure enthusiasts in the tourism industry.Geronimo M. Garcia, a member of the De Oro Mountain Explorers Club (DOME) Inc., conceptualized it.Its first venture is the Noslek Canopy Walk, which is an eco-tourism project funded by the Department of Tourism.Other adventure tours are white-water rafting western style & “pinoy style” or “tubing”, white-water body boarding, family camping, river trekking with waterfall hopping, rappeling and technical caving.
The idea of packaging adventure tours came from Mr. Garcia’s experience as a member of the DOME Club (founded in 1992).The club basically promotes healthful outdoor activities for fun in promotion of environmental conservation.These activities are primarily the core of the packages of DETOUR.DOME members who are trained and qualified with the necessary skills relevant to outdoor activities are tapped by DETOUR as primary guides to its tours.

NOSLEK CANOPY WALK
CLIFF RAPPEL
Experience a 150-ft. cliff rappel at P500/pax minimum of 6 pax.The cliff rappel is offered as an entry to Pinoy Whitewater Rafting.The cliff is a cave’s exit overlooking Cagayan de Oro River.Pinoy Rafting w/Rappeling is P1,500/pax for minimum of 6 pax. Free meal.
TECHNICAL CAVING
For those who wish underground adventure, experience a two-hour exploration in Kweba de Oro.Perfect for beginners and experienced spelunker.
From the City of Cagayan de Oro, it is a 30-minute jeep ride with side trip to the historical Makahambus Cave and Gorge.From the drop-off, the site is a 30-minute trek.Harnesses will be issued to all guests as they have to rappel a 110ft. vertical entrance.
Guests should be ready to get wet, so bring extra clothing/shoes/sandals.Food and snacks is excluded in the package.Waterproof flashlight is an advantage.
This is a half-day trip for a maximum of 10 guests.Free snacks.
WHITE-WATER RAFTING (PINOY STYLE)
Want to maneuver the Cagayan de Oro River rapids without the hassle of paddling?Then try rafting the Filipino way!A ride on a “pinoy” raftgroup or solo is the ultimate white-water adventure.
Rates are P5,400 for a minimum of 6 pax or P900/pax all inclusive. This is a half-day trip for a maximum of 30 guests.For a longer route, the rate is P1,200 per person with a minimum of 6 pax.All inclusive (Lunch & Snacks).
You can also try and enjoy body-boarding when you do pinoy rafting with additional 30ft bridgejump & 20ft rockjump activity (in the shorter route).
WHITE-WATER RAFTING (WESTERN STYLE)
Using Red/Yellow Rubber Rafts from the farthest starting point (Ugyaban – CDO-Talakag, Bukidnon boundary) passing through 23 to 34 rapids in a 17 to 23 kilometers river running the water adventure runs 3 to 3.5 hours (or half day activity only) P1,200/person.All inclusive (mid-way snacks and eat-all-u-can lunch at finish line).Minimum of 5 pax.You may bring your own digital camera.We take shots out of your own camera free of charge. Regular pick up time is between 7am to 7:30am. Or 12noon-1pm.
CAMPING AND MOUNTAIN CLIMBING
We can organize and recommend locations for these types of trips. Rates are dependent on the number of participants, desired locations and the gear requirements for the specific size of the group.
